East Passage Boatwrights is located in Bristol, Rhode Island, on Narragansett Bay, a place steeped in sailing tradition. Bristol was the home of Herreshoff Manufacturing Co. which produced many of the finest and fastest boats in history. Our mission is to return the Bay to prominence in the world of plank on frame construction.

EPB combines the time-tested techniques used by craftsmen of the past with modern advances in methods and materials. We continue to return our living history to the water through the restoration and repair of classic yachts.

In response to the increasing demand for wooden boats we are also developing a new line of custom power and sailing craft. We are a full service boat shop capable of handling vessels up to 65’ in our main shop. Larger vessels can easily be accommodated.
